CombiTents® – flexible marquees for changing event sizes

CombiTents® are modular marquees designed to adapt to different events and numbers of guests. Instead of choosing one fixed marquee length, you can add or remove sections when assembling the tent and create the amount of covered space you need.

Depending on the model, one CombiTents® system can provide several different configurations – with some models offering up to six marquee sizes in one. This makes CombiTents® particularly useful if you organise events of different sizes and want one flexible solution instead of several separate marquees.

Use a smaller configuration for a family celebration or compact company event, then extend the same marquee when you need more space for a wedding, exhibition, reception or larger gathering.

What makes CombiTents® different?

A traditional marquee normally has one fixed size. CombiTents® are different because the ability to change the length is built directly into the marquee system.

The roof and wall system is divided into sections that can be added or removed during assembly. The number of possible configurations depends on the individual model, so always check the product specifications to see which sizes are included.

This modular design allows you to match the covered area more closely to the event. A smaller setup can create a more intimate atmosphere, while a larger configuration provides additional space for guests, tables, catering, entertainment and equipment.

Triple Velcro Closure System connects the sections

The individual roof sections are joined using Flextents.com's Triple Velcro Closure System. The sections overlap and are secured with strong Velcro connections to create a coherent cover when the marquee is assembled correctly.

CombiTents® also feature Double Velcro Windstop at doors and joints to provide tighter connections and help reduce draughts inside the marquee.

Together, these features make it possible to change the length of the marquee while maintaining a practical and integrated roof and wall system.

The flexibility of CombiTents® makes them suitable for both private customers and professional users who need different amounts of covered space throughout the year.

CombiTents® combine their modular design with sturdy materials suited to repeated assembly and use. Depending on the model, they feature durable PVC covers and strong galvanised steel frames.

Materials, frame dimensions, cover specifications and included components vary between series and models. Always check the individual product specifications before choosing your CombiTents®.

Choose the right CombiTents® size

Start with the largest event you realistically expect to organise. Choosing a CombiTents® that can accommodate your maximum space requirement gives you the option to shorten the marquee for smaller occasions.

Consider not only the number of guests but also how the interior will be arranged. Allow sufficient space for:

• tables and chairs

• comfortable circulation

• buffet or bar

• dance floor

• stage or music equipment

• displays or presentation areas

• other event equipment

A seated dinner generally requires more space per guest than a standing reception, so the required marquee size depends on both guest numbers and layout.

Before ordering, also check the available installation area and make sure there is sufficient space around the marquee for assembly, anchoring and access.

Extend your CombiTents® as your requirements grow

For many models, dedicated CombiTents® extensions are available with additional roof and wall sections. This means a compatible marquee can potentially be extended further if your need for covered space increases in the future.

Always check that an extension matches the exact CombiTents® series, width and model you already have before ordering.

CombiTents® or another type of marquee?

CombiTents® are particularly relevant when changing the size of the same marquee is an important requirement.

If your space requirements are relatively consistent, a traditional PVC marquee or Marquee Semi PRO may be sufficient. For intensive professional or rental use, a Marquee PRO may be more appropriate.

Choose a FleXtents® PRO pop-up gazebo when rapid setup, compact transport and frequent assembly are more important than creating a large modular event space.

The main advantage of CombiTents® is therefore not simply their maximum size. It is the ability to use the same marquee in several different configurations and adapt it to changing events.

Assembly, anchoring and weather conditions

CombiTents® are temporary structures and must always be assembled according to the instructions and anchored correctly for the surface and conditions.

When changing the configuration, make sure all roof and wall sections, connections and fastening points are installed correctly before use. Use anchoring equipment suited to the model and installation surface.

Always check the weather forecast before and during an event. A correctly anchored marquee is still a temporary structure and should not be used in severe weather. Follow the instructions and safety recommendations for the individual model regarding wind, rain and other weather conditions.
