Marquees UNICO – colourful marquees with style and character

Marquees UNICO combine the practical qualities of a traditional marquee with a lighter, more colourful and distinctive design. They are ideal if you want a functional event space but prefer something different from the classic white marquee.

With a galvanised steel frame, a durable 300 g/m² PVC/Polyester cover and extra-large Georgian-style windows, UNICO marquees create a bright and inviting setting for weddings, garden parties, anniversaries, receptions and professional events.

Available in a selection of elegant colours and sizes, UNICO makes it easier to choose a marquee that complements the atmosphere and visual style of your event.

What makes a UNICO marquee different?

The main difference is the design. Traditional marquees are often white and focus primarily on practical covered space. UNICO adds colour, larger windows and decorative details, giving the marquee a softer and more distinctive expression.

The light PVC/Polyester cover provides waterproof shelter when the marquee is assembled and used correctly, while the sturdy galvanised steel frame provides the necessary stability for a temporary event structure. Flextents.com’s product specifications list both roof and sidewall material as PVC/Polyester with a material weight of 300 g/m².

The result is a marquee that is both practical and visually appealing – especially for occasions where the setting is an important part of the experience.

Colour and light create atmosphere

A marquee does more than provide shelter. Its colour, light and interior can influence the entire atmosphere of an event.

A light or neutral UNICO marquee can create an elegant and understated setting for weddings and celebrations, while darker or stronger colours can give garden parties, receptions or company events a more distinctive look.

The extra-large Georgian-style windows allow plenty of daylight into the marquee and make the interior feel open and welcoming. They also give guests a better view of the surrounding garden or landscape while remaining sheltered inside.

For evening events, lighting, curtains and decorations can help create a warmer and more atmospheric setting.

Use UNICO for private and professional events

UNICO marquees are suitable for many types of temporary events where both function and appearance matter.

Typical uses include:

• weddings and wedding receptions

• birthdays, anniversaries and family celebrations

• garden parties and dinners

• confirmations and receptions

• company parties and hospitality areas

• presentations, promotional events and organised activities

• club and association events

Inside the marquee, you can add tables, chairs, flooring, lighting, heaters and decorations to create the event space you need. The combination of colour, large windows and a spacious interior gives you a flexible starting point for both simple and more elegant setups.

Use your UNICO as a marquee or open pavilion

The removable sidewalls provide extra flexibility. With all sidewalls fitted, the UNICO creates a more enclosed event space. On warm and calm days, individual sidewalls can be removed to open the marquee towards the garden or surrounding area.

You can also use the structure more like an open pavilion, allowing guests to move freely between the covered space and the area outside.

This makes the same marquee useful for different occasions and changing conditions during the outdoor season.

UNICO compared with other marquees

UNICO is the more design-oriented choice in our marquee range. It is well suited when you want covered space for an event, but also want the marquee itself to contribute to the visual expression.

A traditional PVC marquee is a good choice if you prefer a classic white event tent and expect repeated practical use. A Semi PRO marquee can be relevant if you need a stronger solution for organisational or commercial use, while a PRO marquee is better suited for intensive professional use or rental.

If changing the size of the same tent is the main priority, CombiTents® provide a modular alternative. If fast setup and compact transport are more important, FleXtents® pop-up gazebos may be the better solution.

The right choice depends on how often you plan to use the marquee, how demanding the setup will be, and how important design and atmosphere are for the event.

Choose the right size for your event

Start with the number of guests and how you plan to use the interior. A seated dinner requires space for tables, chairs and walkways, while a standing reception usually needs less space per person.

For weddings and larger parties, remember to allow room for a buffet, bar, dance floor, music, decorations or other equipment. Choosing the right size from the beginning gives you more freedom when arranging the interior and helps maintain the light, spacious feeling that suits the UNICO design.

Before ordering, also check the available space at the setup location and make sure there is enough room around the marquee for assembly, anchoring and safe access.

Assembly, anchoring and weather conditions

UNICO marquees are temporary structures and must always be assembled and anchored according to the instructions. Use suitable anchoring for the ground surface and conditions, and make sure the roof cover, sidewalls and fixings are fitted correctly before use.

The PVC/Polyester cover is waterproof, but weather conditions must always be taken seriously. Check the forecast before and during your event, and do not use the marquee in strong wind, heavy rain or other severe weather conditions.

Always follow the assembly and safety instructions for the specific UNICO model.
